One Week Before The Jellicle Ball

*The Dream*

Demeter went off to sleep feeling very uneasy. She hasn't felt well all week, and she's been having nightmares about her, Munkustrap, Alonzo and Macavity every time she laid down to go to sleep. She started to dream about Munkustrap, then for some reason, her dream turned into fear. She was dreamming about Macavity again. He had kidnapped, and raped her before, and she was dreamming that it was happening again. This time, Munk was with her, but in her dream, Macavity and Munkustrap were fighting, like before, and Macavity was winning. When Munkustrap went down, Macavity came after Demeter, and like before, he forced himself on her. She tried to yell out, but nothing came out of her voice. She was even sick in her dreams too. She had caught a really bad cough and headcold, and was losing her voice, little by little, and in her dream, that was happenning too. She tried to fight him off, but he was just too strong for her. She was petrified of Macavity, even in her dreams. She tried to wake up, and when she finally woke up, she let out a big scream. "NOOOOO! Stop it!" Then she woke up. She was a bit confused, and frightened.

Etcey looked up as she was finding it hard to sleep. She looked over to were the voice was but could she nothing. She was to sleep to look at one bit she was worred though at the sounded like Demeter voice. She was scared now as load nosies scared her. Her ears want down and she start to shake in fear. "Are you ok?"she said quietly and sat up now. She really was trying to see Demeter but could not. She then looked around no cats was around her. "help"she mubled she put her head down with her body soon following.

Teazer awoke in a fright. She selt somethink in the air. She looked around and sniffed she smelt Demeter. But after that scream she did not go over there as she may upset her more. She still looking up at the sky and looked down again. She looked saw Mong not to far away but she could not make out if he was awake all not. She then sat and just looked out.

Munkustrap woke with a jolt, up on his feet in seconds. He took off through the 'yard, heart pumping rapidly after hearing Demi's awful scream. He raced into her den and beside her. "Demeter..." He panted, pulling her into his arms. "Sweetie, what happened?" He asked quietly, stroking the top of her head and ears.

Alonzo, also hearing the scream, took off after Munkustrap. He saw Etcy cowering in fright and slowed down, kneeling beside her. He gently stroked her back. "Etcetera, calm down." He cooed to her. "You're safe...it's alright now." He promised.

OOC: I'm just going to bring in all of my characters now. So I don't have to worry about them later. Hope that's okay. BIC:

Bomba, who shared a den with her beloved friend, Demeter, was awakened at once, and by the golden queens side. She would've gave the silver tabby a flirtacious wink, but she was more concerned about her friend. And what was worse, she was agitated, and a midge jealous when the tabby came and Demeter gave him all the attention. For someone who'd been raped, Bomba found it astounding that she'd let another tom this close to her, so soon after it happening.

Mungojerrie lay peacefully asleep. He knew of Demeters late night scream fests, and learned to cope. He had a bunch of cotton around his ears, and he lay under four or five pillows, with bundles of blankets on top of it. It wasn't as though he were heartless about the whole situation with Demeter. Just, he did need his cat naps. Besides, if he wanted to perform at the top of his game, the theif needed his sleep.

Out on top of the roof of the car, Jemima lay. She was gazing out into the night sky, and up at the moon. The cool breeze blew through her fur, as she continued to stare at it, in a trance. She was definitely the Moonlight Cat, and despite her young age, was known to have some wise words of wisdom from time to time. She was already awake when Demeter, seemingly woke the entire yard up. Still, she sensed something, could feel something, but she was unaware of what the something was.

Coricopat awoke, beside his twin, and a grim expression was on his face. "Looks like Demeter's having a rough time.."He whispered under his breath. He turned his head, to see if Tantomile had awoken up with him.

Yawning loudly, Endrance opened his groggy eyes and looked about. He was closest to Mungojerrie, and Rumpleteazer, but he was pretty close to Etcetera and Alonzo as well. He positioned his mane, much like Tugger usually did, and slowly made his eay to Teazer. "It's not time to get up yet is it? What's going on?" He asked the striped queen, pretty much the obvious.

Vimala was still in a heep, sleeping soundly. She was not a light sleeper, and could sleep through pretty much anything. A smooth kick from Endrance though, had her shooting awake. She had yelped in surprise, before shooting a glare at the older tom.

Chaos, too, was startled awake by Demeter's shrieking. Oh how he loathed her shrieking. Waking everyone up at the darndest of hours. Still he had a concerned face, as he waddled over to Alonzo and Etcetera. "Is Cettie okay?" He asked worried, to Alonzo.

Ecty nooded "thanks sould we go see what wrong with Demeter?"she asked Alonzo. She trusted Alonzo and was happy he was helpping her. But what about Demeter she wounder.

Teazer shurgged "Demeter screemed"she said she really could not see much so she did no who it was.

[Tantomile]

Tantomile sat straight up in her bed. She had heard Demeter scream. She looked around, and stopped when she looked at Coricopat. "I believe so, dear brother. I hoped that she'd be okay. I scence something...something that's going to happen, and it revolves around Demi, Munk, and Macavity. I don't know what it is that I'm scencing, but it's something.

Demeter was so afraid that she backed away from Munkustrap at first. Then when she woke up dome more, she saw that it was Munk, she went back over to him and she let him put his arms around her again, and stroke the top of her head. "Oh Munkustrap, I had that dream again, you know the one with you, me, and Alonzo, then Macavity came in then all heck broke loose, and you got hurt again. It was terribile because this time he got me and raped me again. I'm frightened, Munk. Please stay with me." She looked at Bombalurina. "Sorry I woke you. I didn't mean to."

"But you're safe now..." Munkustrap promised her, keeping her close. "I'll stay with you tonight." He told her.

Alonzo shook his head. "Munk's got it Cettie...no need for us to go in. I'm sure she'll be just fine in the morning." Alonzo turned to Chaos. "She's fine...just a bit startled." He told him. "Let's all try and get back to sleep. Lots to prepare for this week."

Sadie stumbled through garbage, trying to find her way to shelter in the dark cold of the night. He skin crawled with fear upon hearing a heart-wrenching scream coming from the direction she was heading. She had only been alive for a few weeks, her mother's people throwing her out the door the minute she was born. She was cold, drenched to the bone, and terrified for her life. She continued walking, moving as fast as she could, until she entered the Jellicle Junkyard.

Tugger laid across a pipe, staring into the night sky. Demeter hadn't woken him tonight, he'd already been awake. He yawned and stretched his arms out to his sides, turning his head in time to see a tiny kitten, dirty and wet, crawl into the 'yard. He looked around. "Hey Lonzy!" He called down. "We've got company!" He made his way down to the kitten.

Cettie nodded and moved her head right down. She closed her eye and though about the sun and the moon. Cettie smiled and then looked up to see Tugger. She smiled at him.

Teazer blinked and still was confused she moved toward the back of were she was sleeping.

[Tantomile]

Demeter hugged Munkustrap, and didn't let him go. She was still very frightened, and didn't want to let him go. Demi looked at Munk and said, "Thank you so much for being here. I don't know what I would do without you."

Tantomile got up, and looked outside the window. She saw Cettie with a new cat, and wondered where the new cat came from. The new cat looked like she was badly hurt, and she didn't look well, eighter. She then saw Tugger craw down, and noticed another younger kitten. This kitten looked like she could use some help. She hoped both kittens were okay. "Cori, I'm going to go and see what's going on out front. Do you want to come with me?

Griddlebone groaned, opening her eyes for a moment and glancing around to see what was going on, then tried to go back to sleep. It had probably just been Demeter again (it sounded like her anyway). This wasn’t the first time the whole yard had been awakened by the queen’s screams. But Griddle wanted her beauty sleep and she wasn’t about to let Demeter get in the way of that. Luckily for her at this moment, she could fall asleep quite easily.

Ana started and gasped at the sound of Demeter’s scream. She didn’t know what had happened to the other queen and it scared her when something serious was going on and she didn’t understand what or why. She moved closer into a corner of the den and tried to fall asleep again - but to no avail. In the end she decided to get up and go outside to see where everyone else were.

Tugger gave Cettie a wink.

Alonzo looked up and over toward Tugger. "She looks awfully hurt...Cettie, you wanna come and help us with her?" He asked. He looked up at Chaos. "Can you go and find one of the queens? The little one is going to need a more feminine touch." He asked him.

Munkustrap nodded. "You'd be fine without me...just sleep and remember how strong you are."

[Tantomile]

'You really think so Munkustrap?" I don't know about that. I don't have the confidence that you have." Demeter nuzzled Munkustrap while holding him close to her. She didn't want him to let her go yet.

[leitha]

Cettie nodded "I think your right".

Teazer then felt sorry for Demeter she could not turn her back on her Friends.

Leitha awoke by here Kitten's crys. She was still a bit socked from the scream she lowed her head and liked Sara so she would stop cring.

Sara was cring and now had stopped and smiled at her. Sara was so younge she could not speek yet.

Old Gregg came in smiling he was drunk again. He still felt sorry for how ever screamed but he was to drunk to do anythink. He than moved closer to wear everyone was. He smiled at them He wispered "I drunk on bayles". He moved to look were almost everone was looking.

Grizabella entered the Junkyard quietly. She heard what sounded like Demeter scream. She had seen Munkustrap run to her side. "Oh, I hope she's alright," she said to herself.

"I hope so too…" Ana blinked as she glanced up at the old queen. She didn’t know her so why had she replied? Possibly because the other had said exactly what she was thinking… She had seen Griz come into the yard and that‘s why she had moved closer to her, and thus hear what she said about Demeter. But she was still alert since she didn‘t know her. "A-are you… Um… A member of this tribe?" It was clear she didn’t want to get in trouble by talking to someone she wasn’t supposed to.

[Tantomile]

Grizabella turned around and saw Ana there. She didn't recidnize Ana, so she was happy to see someone come closer to her. "Oh hello," she replied. "I was a member of this tribe at one time, but I'm not anymore." Griz looked a little downhearted talking to the Queen. "See, I left the Tribe, hoping to find something better, and when I returned, the Cats clawed at me, and didn't want me around. They shuned me, and told me I wasn't welcomed back into the Yard. But I sneak in sometimes to see the younger kittens, and the teenaged cats. I'm Grizabella, what's your name?" She asked the new Queen.

Bomba gave her friend a soft stare,"You didn't wake me Deme, you don't even need to apologize." She was suddenly cut off by the two disgusting love birds nuzzling and talking amongst themselves. Demeter never went to her for comfort anymore, so she didn't know why she still bothered. She didn't feel needed or welcome, and stood up gracefully, and already headed out and away from them. For the first time she ignored Tugger, and Alonzo, and plopped down away from the others.

Jemima gentley tore her eyes away from the sky and the moon, and gazed down just as a new kitten entered the junkyard. She dropped to the ground, right alongside the kitten. She gave the queen a gentle smile, offering that she would not harm the kitten. She gave Tugger a look,"...Aunt Jelly...would she know how to help?" Jemima had her big round eyes fixated on him, but she still wanted to help this kitten out.

Coricopat was still concentrating on what Tantomile had said the first time around, already aware of it. Since he had sensed the same thing. He did get up along with her and looked at the two new kittens that were in the yard. He gave her a kind smile,"No Tant, that is quite alright. I will stay here if something else should happen. And if someone else should need me."

Endrance gave Teazer a weird glance before Teazer moved away from him. He knew he had morning fur, but a queen who didn't want to spend time with him? That wasn't possible, he was gorgeous, even if his fur was messy. He ignored Vimala and found a place to start grooming himself. He was up, so he was up.

Vimala groaned, she wanted to straangle Endrance for waking her up. Her glare didn't even faze the tom. She spotted Griddlebone back in a corner, curling up and going back to sleep. That should be her, sleeping. Though, unlike Endrance when she was awakened there was no chance for her to get back to sleep. No chance at all.

Chaos shrugged his shoulders,"No need..." He said, as Jemima approached. "Unless you want an older queen...?"

[Tantomile]

Demeter noticed that Bombalurina was heading out the door, and motioned for Munk to go with her. "Oh no, I think we hurt Bomby's feelings. Lets go after her," she said.

Tantomile went outside alone, and slowly moved toward the 2 sick and injured kittens. She noticed Gizmo was looking for Jellylorum, and called out to him, "Hey Gizmo, I can help you. What's up?

"There's a cat over there with Cettie and my sister that needs our help, but I'm looking for someone older to help us."

;Jelly's not home right now, but I can help. Lets go and see her. There's another cat over there too. Lets see if we can help both kittens.

'Okay, thanks Tantomile." Gizmo led Tantomile to the two kittens. He looked at the other kitten that was with Tugger and Alonzo, now there. He slowly went up to the new kitten. "He noticed that she was cold, and wet, and wanted to help her get warm and dry. He went to get a nice thick towel, and offered it to the new kitten. 'Hello, my name is Gizmo, but you can call me Gizzy," he said to the newer kitten sweetly. "Here's a towel for you to dry off with. I can help you if you want." He looked over at Tantomile and Izabelle. 'Belle, I'll be there in a moment," he said to her. He put the dry towel around the new kitten. "What's your name?" He asked her in a gentle voice.

OOC: Okay, I don't want anyone saying that my posts are too long, but I have some more I need to write. I'm probably going to go ahead and make another post.

[glow=green,2,300]"Alright Gizmo, just take your time." Izabelle had another really bad coughing spell. Camile gently rubbed Belle's back again.[/glow]

Camile had an idea. "Belle, we need to move you over to the other kitten so that Tantomile can help work on you and the other kitten easier. Can you get up and walk?"

[glow=green,2,300]"I don't think so, but I'll try. I need some help." Belle leaned on Cami so that she could help Belle up. She winced out in pain. Her ancle was really hurting her bad. She slowly got up, but you could see Belle crying because of the pain from her ancle. She was also coughing too, which didn't sound too good to Tant. Tant quickly went over to Belle and put Belle's right arm around her (Tant's) sholders and helped her over to the other kitten. Belle sat by the other kitten and interoduced herself. "Hello, I am Izabelle. What's your name?"[/glow]

Tantomile interoduced herself as well to both kittens. "Hello little ones, my name is Tantomile. You both may call me Tant for short."

[glow=green,2,300]Hi Tant, I'm Izabelle, Belle for short. I need medical attention as you can see, and I'm very sick," she told Tant.[/glow]

"Oh…" came the soft and somewhat nervous reply and, staring wide-eyed at the older queen, Ana slowly moved away. "M-maybe I shouldn’t be talking to you then…" It wasn’t that she had anything against Griz… She just didn’t know her, and she only had what she had told her of the others’ reactions to judge by. "I don’t want to get in trouble," she said honestly. Ana had been an outsider too before she came to the yard, so she knew what it could be like and she didn't exactly want to go back to that life.
